Two more days, two more posts.¬† In honor of National Blog Posting Month ending tomorrow and with a little inspiration from “Weird Al” Yankovic, here are my lyrics for “NaBloPoMo-hide” that should be sung to the tune of Rawhide:

Bloggin’, bloggin’, bloggin’
Bloggin’, bloggin’, bloggin’
Bloggin’, bloggin’, bloggin’
Bloggin’, bloggin’, bloggin’
NaBloPoMo-hide!

Bloggin’, bloggin’, bloggin’
Though my fingers are swollen
Keep them bloggies bloggin’
NaBloPoMo-hide!
Memes and pics and blather
Comments I’ll gather
Wishin’ my gal (or guy) was by my side.
All the things I’m missin’,
Good movies, books, and kissin’,
Are waiting at the end of my ride

CHORUS
Post ’em on, type ’em up
Type ’em up, Post ’em on
Post ’em on, type ’em up
NaBloPoMo-hide!
Count ’em down, check ’em off,
Check ’em off, count ’em down,
Count ’em down, check ’em off
NaBloPoMo-hide!

Keep postin’, postin’, postin’
Our sites are a hostin’,
Keep them bloggies postin’
NaBloPoMo-hide!
Don’t try to understand ’em
Just write and type and post ’em,
Soon our hits’ll be high and wide.
The blog stats calculatin’
December will be waitin’,
Be waitin’ at the end of my ride.

RikerAfter an exciting trip to the Apple Store yesterday, we visited the house that my sister (Michele) and her fianc√© (Mike) recently bought in Bethlehem, PA. It’s located next door to the house (see picture to the right) in which Jonathan Frakes (aka Cmdr. William T. Riker of Star Trek: The Next Generation) grew up. In addition, one of their neighbors said that Armin Shimerman (Quark from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) had also lived in the area. Who knew it was such a small galaxy?

GhostOn a supernatural note, there is apparently a ghost living in their house as well. Both Michele and Mike have heard footsteps in the upstairs, and he has even seen a grey-haired female apparition in the bathroom that shrank down into a small ball of light and disappeared. During their recent housewarming party, one of their friends who is a medium said that the ghost’s name is Amelia and that she feels safest in the bathroom and on the third floor. See if you can spot the balls of light on the right of the picture taken on the third floor before they moved there. Believe it…or not.

Clean

I’ve enjoyed British television since watching Tom Baker play Doctor Who on PBS in America almost 20 years ago. Over time, I’ve been exposed to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (TV Series), The Young Ones, Absolutely Fabulous, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Vicar of Dibley, My Hero, and The Office. I took a sick day from work today and continued to expand my love for Brit TV by partaking of some BBC America, which we just got with our switch to Time Warner Cable. Anna turned me onto How Clean Is Your House? this afternoon with the dynamic cleaning duo of Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie. They are the wise-cracking hosts who take on some of the nastiest, dirtiest homes in the UK. Check it out if you haven’t seen it, and God Save the Queen if these two are invited to Buckingham Palace.

Update: I forgot to include my wife’s favorite, Pride and Prejudice (miniseries), with all its Firthiness.
